I have a Lady Friend running xp home edition on a about a 3yr old dell .and have [BSOD] codes ?
codes are :0x00000024,0x00190203,0x86FD00F8,0xC0000102,0x00000000 .First off no hardware or software was changed or modified by user .Tried F8 It will not go back to it's Last Known Good Configuration . Have tried using a boot disc set .
System was purchased without O/S cd's through [rent-a-center] by my friend about 2yrs ago it was bought used .
comes back to Blue Screen Of Death with the error codes.no matter what I have tried so far.
I don't know how old the battery in the mother board is[I will replace that ] if that has no effect ,I was thinking of trying to see if it would accept a windows xp upgrade disc ?.
Or would it be better to just pull the hard drive and replace with a new one [havn't gotten into it that far but it is all factory parts have never been modified it has a 40gig HDD though]?
I would appreciate all the incite and assistance .

give dell a call thy helped me with a similar problem. you might be able to get the Cd's for it to.dell is prety god for suport if you dont mind spending some time on the phone. and thy didnt charge me a thing for any of the help. good luck

seem on the returned of your computing device, A Microsoft Serial sticky label with its abode windows Serial No. meant to be in it. in case you got a customize one then you incredibly would desire to purchase a sparkling abode windows cd :(
