How do i re-install the firm software on my computer?
my other computer is fairly damaged with viruses i want to re-install the software to get in back and running, its a few years old and i got the computer in germany, i have the disks for a dell inspiron and was wondering is it possible to install that software on the dell computer? any links to a site that walks me through it would be great! Thanks
ok so i cant install dell drivers on an other laptop, what other options do i have, i dont have the money to replace it and i want both running, i dont have the cds, is there anyother way to restore factory settings, the computer was XP, is there anyway to download the packages on one computer and transfer them to the other, please any help would be greatly appreciated

You can only restore a Dell with the original Dell disks. Any set for a different Dell do not work as the drivers are different. This is NOT firmware, by the way.

This has been covered many many times and is also covered in your Licensing Agreement.
The Operating System is for one computer and one computer only.
Unless, you purchase the multi-license version.
Sorry, it's not like 10 years ago when you could download it on more than one computer.
You need to purchase a new fresh retail version of XP and you might be quick because after June they are discontinuing production and then you will have to get Vista, or something different.

If you are working for a Firm & they want you to have this Software - they should buy it & give it to you - it's in their interest to do this, otherwise, you will have to buy it yourself, like everyone else.
