my car fuel light ain't coming on even if the tang is empty..what should i do? any ideas?

Could be part of the fuel sending unit in the gas tank is bad.Givin the price of a new unit, if that is the problem, I would just do like we did in the old days and just look at the gauge.

The fuel tank shouldn't drop below a 1/4 of a tank. Going on empty will break the prime on the fuel pump. In the winter, more fuel in the tank helps reduce condensation in the tank itself.
