How can I lose 5-10 pounds in a week??? I'm trying to get into the Air Force and I go to weigh in on Thursday.
I seem to be at a plataeu. What are some quick things I can do to lose the extra pounds fast?

Depending on your body fat percentage as it stands right now, there are only two things I can possibly recommend at this time-
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), its what Army ROTC uses, and most likely every other branch as well. If you are unfamiliar with it, then look it up. If done right, it will make your metabolism work 9x faster than normal in order to send enough oxygen to your muscles in response to the ***-kicking you just gave it. Usually it takes about 20-25 minutes over a course of 2.5 miles for me.
Also, you NEED to diet quickly, which means take in as few calories as possible without dying. You have very little time to cut the weight, so you will need to be desperate.
-Make sure you weigh yourself at the same time every day, without shoes in order to measure progress accurately.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Eat meat and drink water the whole time. You should be able to loose about 5-8 lbs in a week.

Laxatives and fasting. There really is no healthy way of going about losing 10 lbs in a week.

Cut your main meals down to 1/3 a day...drink water when hunger attacks in between meals and eat loads of fruits and veggies.
No beer, wine, donuts, cake, nuts,pizza, cheese and all that bad stuff like Big macs.
Go for long steady walks; not strolls. I walk 140 step a minute...try fast walking. Tone up your muscles anyway getting ready for basic training which is a killer in itself.

There's really not a safe way to lose that much weight in a week. They're not going to deny you over a few extra pounds; you'll lose it in Basic anyway.

fresh herbs can really zing up a healthy meal try growing some in the kitchen using a strawberry pot preserve the flavor by adding fresh herbs at the end of the cooking process

The quickest way would be to lose all of your water weight like in wrestling. Do it with caution though since what you will be doing is dehydrating yourself.
