What's the best way to shave down there?

Probably a silly question to most females out there but I really would appreciate some help. I have tried many different creams, gels, and razors but I always seem to end up with razor burn or ingrown hairs after the fact. I am interested in other methods of hair removal but am unsure of their effectiveness and safety. Any tips or tricks to a successful process would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

ok first take a pair of electrical clippers and get the best of it. then get in the shower and let the steamy hot water open up the hair folicles, then take skintimate sensitive or bikini shave gel. and lather.. good! now i use a fresh razor everytime, because a dull one is just wasting your time. so i use noxzema 4-blade razors, there lime green, and they get every last hair! and there only about $2.84 for 4 razors at wal*mart! and then afterwards, pat dry... DO NOT RUB DRY! but only pat dry, then i take noxzema :soothe & smooth" cooling bikini spray, (which is also at wal*mart for about $6.00, but its WONDERFUL!!!) and just lightly spray to cover the shaved area, a wah-lah! beauty-fully hair free, no nicks, no ingrowns! hope i helped!

Always use a shave cream/gel and wash well afterwards. Picture the triangle your hair makes at your bikini. Go from outside in horizontally only half way (do this on both sides so that each right/left side of the triangle is done out towards the other side, but do not pass the halfway point. Then shave downwards. Make sure you reapply cream/gel everytime you pass over an area of skin. As for way down there, use the cream/gel, spread your legs, and go from back to front.

    heh,

i just use a razor [ a mens razor that has like 4 blades for a close shave, gillette fusion]

i lather with a really really rich and thick body wash, and then i lean my knee against the side or the shower [up high, so i can get the sides and the lower regions] and shave down and then horozontally and then up to get all the ones i might have missed.

ingrown hairs, i get them every once and a while but their kinda unavoidable. [so just shave every 3-4 days]

i've been shaving for 2 years and have hated it most of the time! a week ago i built up the courage to get a brazilian and am so happy with the result. after a week, the hairs have just started to grow back, and they are soft - nothing like the spikiness of shaving. plus no itching! i seriously recommend waxing. it's not embarrasing or as painful as people may make it out to be! good luck :)

i used to get horrible ingrown hairs around there when i was only shaving w/ soap and in an upwards motion. now i use aveeno no bumps shaving cream and shave downwards. you have to shave a little more often bc its not as close of a shave, but ever since i starting shaving downwards i haven't gotten any ingrown hairs.

Laser hair removal is the way to go. I recommend Smooth solutions (if they are in your area). It is afforadble and so worth it! No more shaving, no more razor burn!
