Drug Indictment Question ???
My Boyfriend was charged with a drug indictment w/several others half he doesn't know.. He has never been in jail prior to this. He was once charged with assault but the charges against him were dropped. They are holding him in a CCA facility. His lawyer hasn't really said anything. Is there something we can file for to get the charges dropped.Or what can we do so he can beat the case. He doesn't know anything.
My Questions are..
Is it possible for us to beat this case?
Is there something we can file for to get the charges dropped?
He has not pleaded to anything and has not told them anything either
He is charged with conspiracy.. And a robbery (from a phone call but they dont know if he was getting robbed or some other guy..)

are they secret indictments? If he didn't do anything..he has nothing to worry about. He can't do anything, it's up to the prosecutor to drop charges.and if he didnt do anything, he better not let them convice him that he did. Possibly he has been hanging around the wrong crowd. I hope he learns his lessons. Choose friends wisely.

Fire your Lawyer if he doesn't serve you well.
Secondly , every person charged has the right to appear before a judge to set bail conditions. He also has the right to know what charges he is facing.
Charges can only be dropped by the prosecutor if he/she feels they can't get conviction against your boyfriend. Tell him to quit getting into trouble

if he's guilty--he probably won't beat it unless he rolls on someone else. since he was indicted--that means it went in front of the grand jury PRIOR to his arrest and they have already looked at most of the evidence and deicided there is enough to issue a warrant and procecute. if he's guilty--he needs to do whatever the court tells him to do. if he's never been in trouble, depending on the level of the offense, he may be able to get probation.
