Tub/Shower to Standup -Shower Only-Plumbing Drain?
I have ripped out the one piece fibergalss tub surround and have ordered a retrofit swanstone shower floor. I don't know what to do with the overflow drain from the tub as I assume I won't need it for a shower. I can move the valve for the shower handle to the correct height BUT can't find any information on what to do with the overflow. PLEASE HELP!

more important, you may have to move your "P-trap". everything after it may be taken off. the P-trap must be under your new drain.

If possible leave it in place but cap it to avoid odor with something removable. Something like a radiator (car) clamp and a rubber cap which you can get at Lowes. if necessary saw it off a bit to make this work. Someone may want to put a tub back in someday.
