What do you call it when it's raining but the sun is shining?

My grandmother says "The devil is beating his wife". Have you heard this saying and where did it originate? That's what it's doing at my house right now. Just made me wonder.

Update:

This has nothing to do with religion. It's just about an old wivestale saying!

I heard that it means that, "The Devil is fighting with God." I really don't know but it's just what some people believe when it's raining and the Sun is there.

I don't know about the different religious aspects of it, but I call it a "sun shower". :)

In Florida, I would call it a "sunshower", and let it go at that.
