There's a terrific little Italian restaurant in Lincoln Park called RoseAngelis - that's probably my favorite place in Chicago. It's hidden, looks like a house, and is delicious and not very expensive.

Any of the pizza places are a don't miss. But you also have to try Heaven on Seven. Must go to the original place located at 111 N. Wabash. It is in an office building on --you guessed it -- the 7th floor. You must get the Gumbo and a cheddar jalapeno corn muffin. Anything you get in addition to that will be great.
Don't miss the specials on the board located on the pillar in the middle of the room.

Try Gejas. They are a fondue restaurant, it's the best we always for for special occasions. They don't take reservations unless you want to go at 5:00, otherwise you have to wait, but it is well worth it.

I like RoseAngelis - it's a little romantic neighborhood Italian place, at Wrightwood and Racine.

For a wonderful meal you won't forget, go to Fogo de Chao.
For Italian beef sandwiches, you have to go to Portillo's.
For the best pizza, go to Lou Malnati's.
Chicago has so many great restaurants, though. You can check out Metromix for more ideas.

Ed Debevic's has good food and it's fun because the servers are really mean to you and they dance on the bar.
