Who else thinks Gary Darling is a horrible umpire?
Im sitting here watching the 2nd bad call he has made in as many games.
Luis Castillo clearly tagged Willy Taveras on his way t third and that SOB ump Darling called him safe.
He did the same thing with a bad balk call, not bearing in mind the total rule of a balk, and went with his own half *** rendition of the rule. But it didn't matter because Sanchez struck out Holliday, and Atkins popped out.
But Darling is either bad at his job, or has a vendetta against the Giants/Bochy.

Yes those were both TERRIBLE calls. He claimed that the balk happened before and Molina was trying to cover it up and thats why Molina called time. He said Lincecum flinched before the time out.

Yeah, sometimes, I think my grandmother (dead) can be a better ump than some of those out there. One game at Progressive Field, Indians vs. White Sox, there were at least four blown calls, which equaled four runs, and they were all against the White Sox. Some of these umpires should definitely be replaced. I guess Darling is one of them.
