Agree or disagree?

Marriage has always been between men and women they are opposite sex and that is what marriage is. If two gays want to get together they should call it something else.

so explain to me how EXACTLY me marrying another dude will ruin the sanctity of anyone else's marriage...

    will your rings disappear?

will your marriage license spontaneously combust?

will heteros suddenly ALL start getting divorces? (instead of JUST 52% of them)

never gotten an answer to that one.

Disagree, use to agree, but no longer.

The "something else", as you put it, would be "civil unions" as it is being proposed, however civil unions don't carry the full benefits that a marriage does (Close, but not all).

There is also the psychiatric view on this too. Straights can have a marriage AND a civil union, same-sex couples are ONLY allowed civil unions. This basically means Straights are allow to have "this", but no others can have it. That is elitist with preferential treatment, and it makes the rest of us (LGBT) second class citizens, or it at least creates the perception on a psychiatric level that we are.

First off marriage has not always been a strictly heterosexual occurance. Historically marriage has been many things. In fact until fairly recently most couples never married which is where common law marriage came from. Many societies and cultures including the early christian church had ceremonies for same sex marriage. Imagine that.

I disagree, i'm had gay marriage. The ceremony on towns hale was the same as with straights. What else would you call it

I think to call it something else is stupid. It's for all intensive purposes the same thing. The only diffrence is the sexual orientation. Callng it something diffrent owuld be pointless and almost rude. She's right, seperate but equal doesn't work. It's a form of serperation. It's stupid.

What is your definition of always? Historically speaking, homosexual marriage has been around up until recent centuries, now it's just making a comeback.

Disagree. That is your opinion, and I have mine, I'll respect yours, but I don't think it is right for your opinion to determine my future. If I were to say that heterosexuality should be outlawed, that is my opinion, and my opinion has no right to determine your future, since it doesn't concern me, it is none of my buisness.
