Period problems.?
I got my period last week. Usually it's heavy the first couple days and calms down, but for the past week it was light and spotty.
Suddenly today, it got heavy when it should be finishing up.
I'm not sure if my birth control has anything to do with it. I'm on my second pack, and this didn't happen during the first pack.

Dont worry about it, you will through your life go through ups & downs with this. Some have predictable cycles & some like myself & the rest of my family have always dealt with a lot of variances. your already on birth control , good that helps contol it. But it can be the same for a while & then it can vary dramatically.
Just dont suffer with it with pain like I did for years & years. If you experience cramps & pain you can get your doctor to prscribe you celebrex it will stop the pain . I didnt find this out for years Im not sure why doctors dont share this with us to start with. Some dont approve of celebrex but most of the info out their against it is just a hoax to help the larger drug companies to make $. the tests that were done were on a very few people . I take it not only for my cycle but for arthitis. I t works so well I asked my doctor why I wasnt told about this any sooner.

Is this your second pack ever? If so, your body is just getting used to the new hormones and figuring out how to regulate itself.
Keep track of your period (date it starts, how long it lasts, how heavy it is and any unusual health symptoms like headaches). After 3-4 months on the birth control your body should regulate itself with the new birth control. If it doesn't or if you just don't like how it makes you feel go back to your doctor and get a different kind.
The first type of birth control I took deregulated my cycle. Before birth control I had my period about every 30 days and it lasted for 5 days. On the first type of birth control I tried I never knew when I would have my period anywhere from 19-45 days and I didn't know how heavy it would be. I was on the wrong dosage for my body.
As I said at the beginning, your body is probably just getting used to the new hormones. Just keep in mind what I said about finding the right type for your body.
