Anyone else had weird things happen to their hair with pregnancy....?

I have been growing my hair for the last 3 years, and my baby is 6 months old, and grabby, so i decided to go back to super short from mid back length. Well anyway, the hairdresser took a few inches off my super straight hair, and it suddenly sprang up into full blown curls. I have never had curly hair, its been straight since my birth. But we looked at how much of it was curly, and wouldnt you know, it was about 15 months worth, from about when i fell pregnant, Anyone else have something this weird happen because of pregnancy, just curious?

My super straight hair got a curt after pregnancy too! My hairdresser said it happens sometimes. Change in hormones. I had a friend who's brother had super straight hair and when he hit puberty it went super curly. Gotta love hormones.

The opposite actually. My hair has always been very naturally curly, but since my son was born it is growing in stick straight and is darker than it was before. It looks like I have a couple inches of roots growing in, but I have never dyed my hair! Its weird how pregnancy messes with your body like that.

My hair was always straight and then when I go into my20's started waving a little and then alot more while I was pregnant. I don't remeber it falling out like people say it does but I got tons of new baby hairs after my baby was born.

I've always had my hair highlighted. After I had Noah, my hairdresser had the worse time trying to get the color to "take". This went on for almost a year after Noah was born. Finally, my hair is back to normal!

I've had strange dreams, too. Its normal to have doubts (I am also in a biracial relationship, I'm mexican and mu husband is american) and I'm also 100% faithful to him. Pregnancy is also know for the strange dreams that it brings, but don't worry. Let me tell you a short story though, it will calm your fears: A white couple in the u.s were expecting their first baby, obviously both white, when the baby was born, he was black: the boyfriend obviously freaked out and ask for a DNA test because he said the wife cheated on him and she said she didn't, The DNA test comfirmed the baby was in fact his baby, later on they found out the wife had african genes- several generations back her family had been slaves.... My point is: don't worry... Its only dreams, and it happens to most of us being pregnant! :) Good luck and take care! :). Best wishes :)

My lil boy is 3 months old and since having him my hair is more naturally oily then it was before I had him..I really didn't notice it during my pregnancy though. It's so crazy what having a baby does to your body...it effects EVERYTHING!!!!

  • Might be just the way she cut it. she could have cut it like against the grain or something. Not sure. When I was preggers and after I had him the only thing my hair did was fall out...lol

My hair went from brown to a light orangish color and after I had he baby it went back to its brown color. My hair did get longer but it got thinner.
