water gun physics?

I'm doing a 9th grade physics project in which I have to explain a physics term using a toy. I was wondering how I could explain projectile motion using a water gun with water of course as the projectile. If you need any details such as velocity, acceleration, or distance just let me know.

a water pistol works off of hydraulics has a reservoir, pump and lines from reservoir to the pump then out the barrel,if you increase the output of the pump this will increase the velocity of the water coming out of the end of the pistol.which in turn will increase the acceleration of the water and the further it will go out the end of the water pistol.so the bigger the pump is the more water you can get from the water pistol..and the opposite is just as true.the smaller the pump the less water from the pistol.

it is called an exceptionally complicated question to answer, and a volatile ONE, too. Firing a gun with the barrel crammed with water is amazingly diverse from firing a gun with a barrel crammed with air. one venture you mustn't in any respect do is attempt to fireplace a gun whose barrel hasn't been totally drained of water - that could desire to explode the barrel. you may under no circumstances competently fireplace JHP bullets underwater - under no circumstances! the only ammo that is carried under water is cartridges with the two sealed casemouths and primer wallet. not one of the cheap WalMart manufacturers are probable to proceed to exist being submerged for extra suitable than, say, an hour. Now, firing any gun underwater could be extremely unsafe on your well being. some idiots who've tried this have long previous deaf for existence; some have given themselves longterm migraine problems; and, have self belief it or no longer, there are people who've given themselves, the two, heavily broken inner organs or maybe deadly coronary heart assaults from the efficient water-transmitted percussion. in simple terms sticking the gun underwater and protecting your head and physique out, could result interior the gun exploding on your hand. Bullets, additionally, do no longer trip all that a techniques or hit all that difficult underwater. With maximum handguns after 6 to eight ft you're unlikely to be hitting plenty extra good than a slingshot. each thing considered, taking photos any gun underwater is risky, silly, ill-considered, and frequently ineffective. With only 3 to 5 ft of clever distance an underwater, 'bang-stick' is a plenty extra appropriate concept. (plenty extra competently, 'muffled' too.)
