Teens, do you really think the world's going to end in the next 4 years?

I've been reading these post and people keep ranting on about the world ending on December of 2012. Do you think that going to happen?

Besides the world is overpopulated as it is, and there needs to be a decrease - such as people in the younger generation should stop re-producing.

But seriously, do you think the world is going to end in the next 4 years?

Haha, FINALLY someone else agrees we are in need of population control. Thank you.

And for the world ending in 2012, wouldn't that be crazy. It's what has been predicted and when you think about it, it is almost here. But will it be just another incident of y2k? Who knows.

What about WWIII? I wonder if trouble is brewing in the future and a major crisis meltdown will encounter the world and we are forced to change and do something about it in order to keep living...

Anyways, my father was explaining to me the predictions for the world ending in 2012. It's pretty out there. Something about the world turning into what would be a giant earthquake...

I guess well know when and if it happens...da da daaaaaaa...(did I do that right? meh, oh well... ^_^)

I have watched quite a bit on Nostradamus and the Aztecs interpretation of the end of the world. Seeing how the world is these days, I have many ideas on what can happen. Personally, we've brought this upon ourselves. There is so much corruption and ignorance in this world, that the Lord is not going to simply let the world keep living on like this. Though I am unsure if the world is actually going to end in 2012, I think this is simply a warning and prediction. If we don't stop treating the world like we have been, this world will not last very long. We need to start looking at Global Warming and the wars we're dragging on. We need to all clean up the enviornment and maybe there is a chance at stopping this destruction from happening. I think the world is either going to end up enviornmental distress or the idiots of the world using nuclear weapons and carrying on wars. The economy is blown to pieces and we have the most wasteful, pointless war going on right now. We need to cut it out and start changing things or we will all be gone in 2012 or by 2012. The Aztecs and Nostradamus are trying to warn us and no one is listening. Start listening!

The Mayans predicted that the world as we know it will end on 12/21/2012 not, necessarily, the world itself. I think that is not outside of the realm of possibility. Things are being kind of glossed over and not given the attention that they should be given in my opinion but just look at the things that are happening in our world: the economy is in the gutter, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer the world over, the tug-of-war over natural resources is at a fever pitch, the middle east is getting to be even more of a powder keg than it was, xenophobia is on the rise, violence is on the rise everywhere, disease is on the rise everywhere, global warming is already having an impact, most would argue that morality has taken a severe hit in the last couple of decades, etc. The historial precendance would seem to indicate that the time for change is ripe. Look at all of the major changes in recorded human history and what preceeded them. I wouldn't be surprised is something huge happened that changed everything in 2012.

Young people should not stop reproducing that is stupid, if we did that who the heck is going to look after all the old people?? Who knows when the world is going to end? Nobody! All I can say is I hope not because I have a 2 year old daughter and another baby due at the end of the year and I want them to live a long and fulfilling life

No I do not think the world will end soon and by the way if we all stop "re-producinng" then the only thing that will be ending is the human race. What we really need to do is put some time and money into space travel so we can get off this planet and find a new one to populate.

No the world will not end in 4 years i.e,2012 and you can also have sex and reproduce. The Sun is 5 billion years old ( Earth will be there till the sun is , so here actually I am referring to the Earth when I say Sun ) and it will be there for another 5 billion years. So please don't be afraid of the earth being destroyed and enjoy every second of your life.

Source(s): 5 BILLION YEARS which I have mentioned here is NOT A JOKE but it is given in the Science Textbook of Class X CBSE ( NCERT reader 2007-08 or 2008-09 ) Chapter - Sources of Energy.

I don't think it would end it for years or even longer than that. The world is growing. If we needed to we could limit reproduction, I think there are some places that are doing it, but their citizens aren't happy about it. Limiting reproduction wouldn't be a good thing, but it's better letting the earth's material become 99% crowded humans, lol.

No, not in the next 4 years... But maybe in the next 100....

Overpopulation will make us polute, and we will use up all of resources. God, I try not to think about it. :3
