The value to offense only is getting the timing right on your passing routes; knowing when to throw the ball for the route your receiver is running. Also so you can learn how to switch to the receiver and user catch, and if you've learned about it, to practice rocket and jetpack catching. Then when you move on to normal practice these things will come easier to you, but you are, of course, welcome to skip the offense only as well.
