How do I troubleshoot my phone?

I have a Nokia 5300 XpressMusic phone from T-Mobile. My phone had too many messages in the Inbox folder, and in the Saved Messages folder. Now I turn my phone on, and i'm greeted with a white screen. I can't do a thing with my phone because the menu and none of the other functions don't show up. I basically have a dead phone....how do I begin to fix this problem???

Update:

I would delete everything in my phone...except that i can't do a thing with it. It just shows the time, the battery, and the reception bars.

I would suggest that you remove the battery and simcard. Clean the brass contacts with some lint free paper.

Assemble back together and switch on.

If the problem still persists, try deleting all that is in your inbox, just clear everything out. if you have anything in your drafts or outbox, delete these too.

The reason for this is that the in/outbox etc can only hold a certain amount of information. So to get it working it needs a Spring Clean as such.

    Hope this helps.
