How do you read the notation "ln" for natural logarithm?

    It's often pronounced like the girl's name "Lynn."

    In more advanced work where base e is used nearly exclusively, it's often just referred to as "log."

    ln is read log to the base e.

    i never heard it said 'lawn'!

    when i saw it I was thinking "natural log" for the answer - but in fact in speech I would refer to it as L-N.
