    hi there.

Firstly design a small website on your computer test it there. Once the testing is done.

now you need to hire some web space. You can do this from any local ISP or web hosting service. they will ask like what is the domain name you are looking for and so on. They will register the domain and give you the space where you can upload the website. Upload and test with your new domain. thats about it. Look it also depends on what kind of website you are look at. Are you looking at a static website(where the contents dont change) a dynamic website(where the contents will keep changing), are you looking at a ecommerce site, in that case things will get a bit complicated. I recommend you to take your plan down to any local ISP for information, they will provide and direct you where and what you need to do for each kind of website.

You need a web hosting service which supports online payments like, Master Card, Visa & Pay Pal. It is very important that your service to be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they input your website address. If your hosting service is not uptime it is a real hell!

If you want to run a successful e-commerce you must choose a reliable web hosting service. The security of your business directly depends on the security of your hosting service. (Hacker safe)

    Hi, good question...

    There's a couple of options...

Option one - you can get some practice and experience by using a website (they call them a 'lens') at Squidoo.com. Have a look at this, it might be suitable, and it doesn't cost to use or try. They have an abundance of tools you can use as you build your lens or website...

Another way would be to use a blog like WordPress.org. These are simple enough, easy to use, have an abundance of templates that you can use, and so on. This would allow you to get your business up and online quickly.

Another option would be to use a CafePress shop. This might be the best option. CafePress allow you to create your own shop with a variety of different products in it. This is probably the way to go:

    I hope that helps. :)

    A) You need a Web host to get pages on the Web.

To learn about what a Web host is, click here:

    B) Your Web host will let you choose your domain name. Examles of a domain name: google.com, amazon.com, MissingMethods.com, etc.

    C) Consider using Dreamweaver CS3 to help you create and design your site: I was in the same position as you 3 months ago, facing the same issues, and that's what I am using. It's pretty good for people who don't know what they are doing! You can create your pages in a Word Document and import them into dreamweaver if you wish too.

    Note:

You can start making your Web pages without a Web host, or Dreamweaver for that matter--Dreamweaver just makes it ALOT easier. This means creating Web pages cost nothing!

You only need a Web host when you are ready for the world to view your Web pages. But you have to create them first!

To create Web pages, you need to know the language of the Web: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. And that cost nothing. You can create a Web page in as little as two seconds at no cost in Notepad. And the best part is, knowing XHTML gives you full creative freedom over designing your web page: You aren't stuck with the limitations of a template. Besides, you still need to know XHTML for Dreamweaver CS3 so you won't get lost.

Here is a short tutorial with visual aids and "copy and paste" xhtml code to walk you through making your first Web page in Dreamweaver CS3 or Notepad.

    It's a great place to start: http://missingmethods.com/Programing/H/HTML.html
