seems like every 1 out of 4 questions is just some kid asking someone to do their homework.
Wish I had this method of cheating when I was in school.

I agree with you ... it often IS a form of cheating.
I will NOT look something up and just give an answer. I MAY provide a link which the asker might find helpful in getting the information for him/herself.
Sometimes, though, a kid seems to need help understanding how to do something, or where to look to find what he/she needs. In those cases, I don't mind helping if I can.
Used for that purpose, I think Y!A is a great "tool" for kids to use when they need some extra help.

It's usually pretty easy to tell the difference. A kid that posts 5 problems, all numbered, is looking for a free ride. However, many posts ask EXPLICITLY for a step by step solution with instructions, in order to help them understand the process. I'm always happy to help these people.

When kids started spamming the forums with simple math questions that 2 year olds can solve. .

Not to cheat but HELP, sometimes you really do need help and yahoos always a great source!
