steam room and bodybuilding?

is it good to go into the steam room after lifting weights?

    No that is not good at all:your body first needs to be replenished with fluids and you need to cool down.

    If you go straight away you might end up dehydrated.

    That is no good.

    you must let your body rest and all of your functions reach a normal level before going into the steam room or sauna or hot tub, your blood pressure needs time to level off in order to properly relax in the steam room, and at times it puts too much stress on your body to go from one extreme to the other, so take it easy and slow, don't overwork your self... it is a good way to end a workout with the relaxation of a steam room, it releases the muscles and tension from the workout, i lifted weights and did daily routines for twenty years and am glad i did while i had the chance, so just take it slow and easy.. be kind to your physical self and it will pay off in the end...
