Does diet Dr. Pepper REALLY taste like regular Dr. Pepper?

no and contrary to belief the crap they use in diet is worse for your teeth and in large dosages has been proven to cause anal leakage. saccharine is base ingredient with known side effects such as anal leakage and some cancers...especially cancer of the mouth. look it up.

Political correct answer: Diet Dr Pepper and Regular Dr Pepper, both being of equal value and appeal, also stand out individually in their own respect. It is not our intention to insult or ignite any kind of argument that one may be better than another, yet simply saying one is designed one way for one purpose, while the other serves different.. yet equally important purposes. Therefore the only conclusion is that they do indeed taste the same.... but different. Real Answer: It's alright. The regular is better. .

Truth be told, of all the diet soft drinks that I have tried, Diet Dr. Pepper comes the closest to tasting like the original. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I love Dr Pepper and have tried diet and if it is really really cold it doesnt taste to bad but it just leaves a bad after taste

Nope, it doesn't. Diet sodas are an acquired taste. I had to start taking them when I was diagnosed with diabetes about a year ago. I started with fruity flavored diet ones and eventually got used to it. Now I can take almost any kind.

Well I like it better. And Walmart brand Diet Dr. Thunder is really really good, at 2.38 for a 12 pack.

I agree, but I do have to say that it is the one diet drink that taste the closest to it's original...but yeah, nothing can beat the good ole original Dr.Pepper

I know. I've had Diet Dr.Pepper before and it doesn't really taste the same at all. It tastes really...weird. I prefer regular Dr.Pepper.

No. But it's a hell of a lot closer than diet Mountain Dew is to regular Mountain Dew.
