Kevin Garnett?

Since he had a hard time with Josh Smith, how will do against a defensive stopper, playoff experienced Ben Wallace? The same? Worse? Better?

he will do better cause ben is not the same ben that he used to be when he was in detroit. the ben were seeing right now is the ben wallace that is looking to retire in the next 2-3 years. josh is more agile, and quick compared to ben. KG is a mismatch on any cavs big men.

Josh Smith is a better player then Ben Wallace and dont forget Kg is the big ticket and his the best in his position.

Please do not compare a defensive athletic stud like Josh Smith with an overrated has-been. Ben Wallace had his glory days in Detroit, but he has been horrible ever since he went to Chicago. He will do better against Wallace, but we'll have to see how this series turns out, no one should ever count out the second best player in the league.

If this was 4 years ago, I'd say Ben would pose a threat to Garnett's offensive repetoire. But Ben is slow now, and way past his best years. He's still a decent defender and rebounder but it's not enough to stop KG.

Ben Wallace won't pose a threat to KG

ben wallace two or three years ago would have caused BIG problems but right now hes doesnt have a lot of athleticism left so KG wont struggle.

  • Ben is past his prime. I don't see him stopping Garnett at all. In Detroit he was usedof guys stepping in (Rasheed Wallace) when his defensive opponent gets past him simply because they can afford it. Ilgauskas is another old player and I don't see him covering for Ben when Garnett moves past him, plus plenty of great primeter shooters for Boston, which gave trouble for Cleveland in their series with Washington.

    2EZ!!

ben wallace has experience yeah, but he is not even close the player he was in Detroit, there is a reason why they let him go. on the other side KG is a beast and is hungry for a title, timberwolves held him back.

well i think he pretty much a quite good match up for Garnett, but i still vote for Boston to go to the final.. and they will face LA (my favorite hehehe) but the Celtics will win this season championship (they are on quite like 'last breath' condition) so even as a LA Lakers fan, i won't feel bad if LA doesn't win the '08 season, for they will win the next three championship in a row (or more maybe... it's just a wishful thinking anyway, hahaha)
