why do we close our eyes when we sleep?, when we cry?, when we imagine?, and when we kiss?

this is because the most beautiful thing in the world was unseen.

Vision is a sense which heavily uses the brain and so it tires it out. So, it's more efficient to sleep with your eyes closed. Sleeping with your eyes closed is also a form of protection against anything that can occur during sleep.

Crying: When we cry, blinking helps cleaning the eyes and keeping them closed can also keep them clean, away from dust or other stuff. It's a natural reflex

Imagining:

Sight is so captivating for out attention that we couldn't be able to concentrate enough for the imaginative thoughts to seem real enough. So, it's better to imagine with your eyes closed.

Kissing:

It's a bit related to imagining..

Almost every time wee keep our eyes closed is for protection, no matter what kind it is ;)

For sleeping i presume is so your eyes are protected when you are sleeping and to block out light and movement. For kissing and imagining is so we can concentrate on what we are doing and all the feelings and emotions that come with it, blocking out all distractions so you can be in the moment.

when we imagine? i day dream when people talk to me. crying and kissing can depend i suppose

we also close our eyes when we sneeze - try to keep your eyes open ! your eyeballs go craazy. it's impossible and potentially dangerous

how about when girls put on mascara their mouths are always open?

Because that time our heart and mind play the role of eyes and we can see and enjoy the same in better way .

we close our eyes for those important moments because we are simply deep in thought. we 're simply lost in our minds and wrapped in our emotions and also we concentrate and focus the best with our eyes closed . it blanks out the whole world and we diffuse to ourselves.

when we sleep= because we need to rest out eyelids

when we cry= because we need to moisten our eyeballs and to get out the tears.

when we imagine= because it's more efficient.

when we kiss= because we enjoy it and it's a way to express feelings.

sleep- our eyes will dry out if we dont

cry- i cry with my eyes open

imagine- easier without visual distractions

kiss- it's just plain awkward with eyes open

sleep: we can't sleep when light is around

cry: we want to get rid of tears

imagine : we creating our own images...different from what we see with eyes wide open

kiss: blind ppl have strong touch...we want to be blind is moments like these
