You definitely can, what idiots! Just go to stats, under general scroll down to the person and how much they like you, not respect, but like, is the percentage you need to get up to get their special.

Brucie

Likes: Bowling, drinking, eating, strip clubs, shows, helirides, boating

Special ability: Unlocked at 70%.

Dwayne

Likes: Strip clubs, eating, drinking, shows, bowling

Special ability: Unlocked at 60%.

Packie

Likes: Strip clubs, shows, darts, drinking, bowling, pool

Special ability: Unlocked at 75%.

Little Jacob

Likes: Darts, shows, pool, drinking, eating, strip clubs

Special ability: Unlocked at 60%.

Roman

Likes: Bowling, darts, drinking, eating, pool, shows, strip club

Special ability: Unlocked at 60%.

I know that being friends with a certain character gets you special abilities. For example, being friends with Roman gets you cab service. I've heard that this is activated at a certain percentage of friendship. So how do you tell how friendly you are with a person? Where can you look up...

Go to the pause menu on the general tab it has the name of the friend and a like level and a respect level

I'm guessing the respect level is for mission based completion and like level is built off how much you hang out with them.

Press pause then go to stats. Then use the right analog stick to scroll down. Believe the friends stats start in the middle of the general tab of stats.

You can check it when you press start i think its under STATS and it will tell you your FRIENDS relationship with you and their RESPECT for you

lol you can't ok, push start and tab of to stats i think is what its under then its the first one relationships are on another tap but all your game stats can be found there just like the older GTAs

You are right you can get the special abilities but you cannot tell how much friend percentage they have with you sorry
