I would probably want to be in the suburbs. I know that gas in large cities tends to be much higher than other areas and I imagine the cost would also be driven up in the country, as more time has to be put in to transporting the gas to these areas.
People are predicting a word-wide in the next year or two, which will probably drive up world-wide prices for feul. However, I think that, at some point in the next five years, the price will stabilize or that there will be a major, viable discovery of an alternate fuel source.

The price of gasoline has doubled. In the beginning of 2005 the national average for gas in the USA was 1.78. In the future you will see a lot of people selling there V-6 motors and buying 4 cylinders. You will also see people riding buses a lot more. Especially people with jobs that pay less than 10.00 an hour. I can't imagine how a minimum wage earner can possibly keep a vehicle on the road.

My sis lives way out in a small country town/village and there's only one gas station, so the (villagers) have only one choice of gas so the gas price could be $5 and they would still have to pay that much w/o an alternative. I would say the city w/ lots of gas stations b/c even if they are all about the same price you could still save a penny or two.

If the price of gas was to double, I would want to live in the city or a burb. The reason for that is, in a city or burb, I could walk or bike ride to get most things. I am doing that anyway. I cant afford to get gas all the time. Plus, walking is better for me!

It does not matter where you live. Gas price goes up, everything else follows. That's chain effect.
When the gas price doubles, I have to make sure my income is more than double of what I am generating now... ^^
