Marley Marl vs. DJ Premier vs. Pete Rock?

I've got love for them all, but Premo will always be G.O.A.T producer in my eyes.

I believe that all 3 of these mentioned are in the top 5 all time of hip hop producers. Premo credits Marley as being his main influence and as impressive as Marley and Pete Rock are, the GOAT is DJ Premier. This guy just elevated production to a whole new level and he did it over a broad base of artists from KRS One to Big L to Royce da 5'9".

I love marley marl, the real old school production, although arguably, the modern boom bap movement began with large pro / premo & dilla (with Krs's help). Cant forget the 'symphony' either, a true classic.

I'm going with DJ Premier, but you tempted me to say Pete Rock by posting that ADOR track. I love that song. I'll stay strong and stick with Premo though.

Three of the greatest of all time!!! Premier has always been my favorite!!! Marley is the pioneer and Pete Rock is like a VERY close second to Premier on my list of greatest of all time!!

im gonna have to go with Pete Rock. His work with CL Smooth is nothing short of amazing. And he produced my fav song ever.."The World is Yours." I gotta give to the Soul Brotha
