Did anyone read ''The Outsiders'' by S.E Hinton?

If so, how did you like it? Did you like the plot/ storyline? Do you think it was sad, cool, stupid, ironic etc. I wanna hear your opinion on the book and the characters (: Thanks... <3

The Outsiders is my all-time favorite book. I find it so amazing. The characters are practically real because the writing is so fantastic. Ponyboy is my favorite. I suppose it's because I can relate to him so much.

You feel like you are living the life of the Greasers when you read this book. You get hooked instantly on the nobleness of this incredible novel.

I applaud S.E. Hinton in the highest.

The Outsiders is excellent! The book is far better than the movie version... I mean, the movie has Emilio Estevez in it, if that doesn't say enough... (I love Emilio and all, but I like to make fun of him.)

I thought it was sad and ironic.

I haven't read the book in probably 12+ years and I can still tell you exactly how it begins, what Johnny told Ponyboy, etc. etc. It's really, really good. If you can ignore some of the character's names, they're well written and believable.

It's also been one of my sister's favorites since she read it in middle school (we had the same English teacher); she read just about all the SE Hinton she could get her hands on after that, and The Outsiders was her favorite.

I think that it was a pretty cool book. It was suspenseful at times, and a little weird, but it got its point across. I havent read the book for a while, but I remember how that one guy pointed his gun at the police and they shot him down in cold blood. I think that the movie is better.
