Other than the obvious stupidity, like vulgarity, I find the surest way is to mention God or express a conservative opinion about things like living together without marriage.

If you say something that is anything other than what you know the asker WANTS to hear. I get so angry at people who pick best answers just because the person told them only what they wanted to hear and wasn't the most honest. Then if you're honest, you get a thumbs down!

Be republican, or anti-abortion, or pro-spanking, or anti-Obama, or anti-Clinton, pro-McCain, anti-illegal immigrant, or tell a teenager the truth.
