http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/ standard version 6.0 very good does most things. Deluxe version costs.

Free! this month expires June. http://www.legacycharting.com/ will be in version 7.0. Worth trying. Version 7.0 due out soon.

To do research try visiting the Mormon site depends where your ancestors came from, but is amazing how much information they have from around the world, and their collection never stops.

They won't try and convert you. They have millions of records from all over the world. They have a Granite mountain hollowed out in Utah U.S.A.and temperature controlled and hundreds of people researching and copying records, with Computers, Microfiche and Photocopiers.

Also members of the Church are contributing. As Members they are expected to know their geneaology and they have there ancestors sealed into the Church.

Look in the phone book for a Latter Day Saints Church Contact them, many have sites with computer rooms lots of Cd's and people who will help you. It is free but you can always make a donation with no obligation to join. They will even get Cd's sent over from Utah to help you.

They have shops in many Countries where one can buy Cd's Genealogy programmes and leaflets which give help on research.

You can get PAF (Personal Ancestral File) free from the Mormon Church website. They WONT try to convert your or anything but you do have to register to use it. It will even let you search for existing records about your family. You do not have to join the church or have anything to do with them if you dont want to. My dad used it for years before he died and really liked it. He did not even like the church but he did like the program. You can get it here:
