For Doctor Who fans on Series 4?

Interesting idea. Have you been re-watching "The Trial of a Time Lord" recently by any chance?

I doubt whether the Doctor's real name will be revealed, since that has been the central mystery of the show since it began, from which the show's title "Doctor Who" is derived.

Also, I hate to put a spanner in the works of such an interesting idea, but "The Valeyard" is an assumed title, just like "The Doctor". It isn't a real name.

For those who don't know, it was revealed in the 6th Doctor story "The Trial of a Time Lord" that the Valeyard is a distillation of the the Doctor's dark side, extracted during his 12th regeneration. He escaped at the end of that story and never reappeared, so he could well still be around somewhere.

That's a good idea. I would be surpized if he had an actual name. I think his name is The Doctor. The being his frist and Doctor being his last. In the last epiosde of season 3, The Doctor was talking to The Master and had mentioned that they both chose their names. Maybe he picked The Doctor as his name

I don't think they well and I hope they don't. it makes the show more fun not knowing very much about him. To me he is, and always will be just, The Doctor.

do i don't think we will ever find out the doctors real name but he sometimes call him self doctor john smith

i don't think they will because that will then ruin the whole mystery about him also another though did anyone else notice rose screaming i think it was when Donna was in the tardis. it was definitely and the tardis computer screen.

i think of he has too, otherwise why could they instruct the scene of the hand choosing up the hoop, it has to intend some thing, until of direction this is a diversion. i will anticipate the hot sequence to start although!

it will never be revealed because we could never pronounce it....it would be like us try to pronounce !@#$%^&*, if you catch my drift. I think he has enough names anyway...The Doc, John smith and my favourite...The oncoming storm.xx
