u can even download games released in the USA before it comes out in england a bit like pokemon

game emulator is a software that allow PC to play certain game roms as it is played on the console. while roms are the program inside the cartridge game for console. However there are some features that cannot be provided with PC so there are some games and features that cannot be played on emulator. For example Game Boy Advance has a motion sensor in the console, there are some game that use it as input.

you dont need the console, just a PC, that can run the emulator. the emulator emulates the origional console on the PC. the Rom is the emulated game that can be run on a PC, through the emulator.. wow emulator emulator

they are game players for exsample project 64 is a game emulator for nintendo 64 so you can play nintendo 64 games through project 64 on the computer. there are also playstation 2 emulators ect.
