A question for all of the travelers out there!?
I'm taking a trip to San Diego next week and I have yet to book my hotel. I was thinking about using Expedia, Orbit, Travelocity or something along those lines.
Are all of those services about the same? Does one of them have better offers? Are there any others that you would recommend?

There is nothing wrong with going thru a third-party but
you know what? You can always try calling the hotel themselves because at times, they have deals not posted
on any internet website.
Good Luck!
Source(s): We stayed at a 3 star hotel for a week and paid HK$3000 which comes to about US$375. This was a deal given to me by the reservation desk when I called. - SaraLv 41 decade ago
I usually go to the each of them (plus hotels.com), compare their pricing, and then call the hotel direct. I tell them what those sites are offering and see if they can beat it. I also tell them I'm a AAA member and ask what type of discount I can get. Most of the time, they lower their prices for me.

Wait until you get there...You would not believe what deals you can get when you talk to a front desk manager face to face!
