i say be happy he buys you gifts at all. some men don't. so if he wants to say hey i appreciate what you had to go through just to bear my children, then let him.(even in this age of technology giving birth isn't always easy) i mean it works out especially for women whose birthdays are in may, they get a double gift . sit back and enjoy the love. would it make you feel better if he said it was a gift from the kids.

This is funny because I just asked a question this morning about my ex husband, who never wished me a Happy Mother's Day because I wasn't his mother! It was incredibly hurtful to me, as we do have a daughter together. He just never got it. But I see that there are some women who think differently about it. It sounds to me like you got a great guy, and I do hope you wish him a Happy Father's Day.

I'd be very pleased if my husband wanted to honor me as the mother of our children.

Are you really denying him the pleasure of giving you a gift? Wow. Piece of work LOL

I think you should let your husband win this one. You are not HIS mother, but you ARE a mother. I think it's sweet of him to want to get you something. Remember, it is more of a blessing to give than to receive. Don't take away his blessing, lol.

Of course he should! He is showing appreciation for you being a good mom to his children.
