Forgetting your dreams often and lately ???
I used to be able to remember most of my dreams esp ones where I was running away or being chased...some dreams used to stand out more than others...
But lately I cant seem to remember any of them, I wake up in the morning and they are gone...a couple of hours later I have no idea what I dreamt about .
Why is this happening ???

usually when you dream you are not in deep sleep. Maybe you are getting better, deeper sleep. It could be that you have a dream while in a lighter stage of sleep and then fall into deep sleep so since it had been a few hours since you had a dream you don't remember. Try thinking about your dream right when you wake up. If you wake up to an alarm this can also be why you forget. I normally only remember my dreams on the weekend...when there is no alarm

I got no idea and that sux! I always remember what I dream about! I can even control my own dreams cuz when I dream I actually know I'm dreaming! I have been able to do that for about 7 years now!

this is occurring because you don't want to remember the dreams. there is something in them or about them that is frightening to you. the only way to start remembering them again is to face them down. at noght right before you go to bed do some relaxation techniques. there are some good books out there that have some good relaxations in them. or you can use the one that i use. it is very simple. get in a relaxing position. dim the lighting. breathe in slowly through your nose to a count of 8,hold to a count of 4,then release through your mouth slowly to a count of 8. repeat until you feel relaxed. while in this state tell yourself that you will remember at least 1 dream that you experience in your sleep. (don't get too greedy here yet. we want to start slowly here.) keep a notebook and pen or pencil by your bed so that when you wake up you can immediately write down anything that you can remember about your dream(s). at first it will probably just be bits and pieces. but as you go the amounts of information will increase. good luck!

If you keep a notebook and write down everything you remember as soon as you wake up, you will slowly start to remember more and more from your dreams.
