in windows xp, whenever I connect a usb flashdrive, windows detects it, but it asks for drivers, however,?
in other PC's with windows xp, flashdrives work automatically.
Anybody knows how to solve this problem?

You need to check if you have updated xp and or if the flash drive came with a driver cd to insert it to install the plug and play drivers for it.

thats the usb port driver, go to device manager and then plug in your flash, you will then see the icon appear, right click it and check all the options
