Paper recycling in Oahu?

I noticed that the new Opala recyle bins located at schools such as Castle, and the Kapolei complex have lists of what not to recycle. These include phone books, junk mail envelopes. Where would I be able to drop off those paper items? I don't want to throw away phone books, since they are so big and filled with so much paper on the inside.

Update:

I checked the Opala recycle bin in front of Moanalua Middle, and it also said "no phonebooks."

I think HawaiianTelcomm recycles them, but you'd have to call them to ask. I think we are all waiting for recycling of phone books!

Put non-recyclable items in your car - toss them out the window while you drive.

Source(s): Only do one item per mile or so - do your part to end unsightly trash piles.
