I'm fifty-three, living in Texas with a wonderful wife and a couple really swell cats. Yes, I like living in Texas even though I'm atheist and most of my neighbors are hard-core Christians. I like most of my neighbors, in fact. Texans are very friendly, charming people. QUOTE OF NOTE - Women favor fairness, men favor justice. The problem is sometimes fairness isn't just, and sometimes justice isn't fair.

  • Which of these is correct, and why?

  • What's the best option for an uninsured couple?

I'm forty-nine, no real health problems. My wife is forty-three, has several chronic conditions, none progressive or life-threatening.

We make a decent living, and can afford to pay for REAL insurance, not the has-more-holes-than-Swiss-cheese type.

What should we do? Which companies are the best at dealing with people like us?

  • Are you a theist who complains about atheists being in R&S?

Do you wish Yahoo would create an "Atheists" section?

If so, I invite you to visit the "Gender & Women's Studies" section, which you will find is dominated by bitter, women-hating male trolls, whose misogyny and vitriol are matched only by their thin skins and incompetence in written English.

Do you think something similar would happen in an Atheist's section?

    I do.

  • Question about human growth hormone (HGH)?

Is it useful for weight reduction/maintenance?

I know of a person locally who is receving monthly injections of HGH; she says it is a great aid to maintaining weight loss, and that it has rejuvenated her, to boot.

    Any thoughts on this?

  • US Presidents who owned slaves.?

It has been said to me that Lincoln was the first US president who never owned slaves. I consider this false, and don't believe either Adams, father or son, owned slaves, nor Van Buren, nor Pierce, nor Harrison.

Is there anybody out there who can document that I'm right, or that my correspondent is right?
