To any Doctor That Can Help...?
My gandma is in the hospital, her large intestine is clogged with waste and she is tired of surgury. Her blood level is now up too 6, and they are now giving her blood, but she does not have alot of iron in her blood, and her heart is really week. Is there any way to help unclog so the waste could go through, besides the surgury? If you could answer, it would really help. Thank you Saba

Where in the intestine is the blockage? Try a gastrografen enema in IR, if there is a bowel movement then have them try neostigmine. There are risks with this, but if she does not want surgery this may help.

Surgery would be the only way to cure an obstruction. They would have to remove all or part of her colon, and if she already has a weakened heart her surgeons may not wish to do what is major surgery. All the best!
