i love the twilight series and am reading the 1st one for the 3rd time. my parents r annoyed bc i talk about the books sometimes and say this is the last time 4 me to read it. it doesnt seem like that much 2 me, they think it will mess up my mind bc its about vampires. but any1 whose read them knows its so not about bad stuff, i mean the vampires r good and its about how love can overcome anything! whats up with my parents? advice please?

Talk to your parents about it and tell them how you feel about the situation. I've read the whole Twilight series and am addicted! I've also gotten my mom and aunt hooked. Maybe you could show your mom or dad the book and have them read it. It definitely helped my mom understand why I couldn't live without the sequels!
By the way, if they still are annoyed, you can try reading different books. There are lots of other 'fish in the sea'. I know it's hard to stop reading, but I assure you, you'll find lots of other reads that'll keep you occupied, and when you're through with those, you can read the Twilight set again!

I'm annoyed with Twilight. The only difference between you and me is I've hated it from the very beginning. What I can't stand about it is the convesation between these Twilight fanatics (all my friends in my case). They keep on talking and talking about it. Never mind that they've read the book or seen the movie together! It's annoying to be left out. What's so great about it anyway?

Parents annoyed? Try people in this section annoyed with all the Twilight questions.
I love the books don't get me wrong but I am getting irritated by people asking the same questions over and over. There are many Twilight forums in which you can discuss these things. TwilightTeens is a great one.

Tell them to shut the heck up! j/k j/k
Just sit down and talk with them.
We're teenage girls and are fascinated by the intensity.
Wth, tell them about "Twilight Moms".
It proves that parents are interested in this.
If they read it, they'll understand.
Then in the end, you can talk about it with friends AND family.
Having them join the conversation along.
Cmon, it's only fiction, it's not real.
This is a mesmerizing plot and romance and suspense!

my mom loved the books! she thought it was really sweet how Ed cared for Bella, and she loves Jacob! parents are just protecting. they want to make sure you dont read anything bad that give you nightmares. Also, they could just be interested. my mom wondered why I loved the books so much, so she read them too

Well, i talked about them so much that my mom actually read it, and she liked them. Maybe you could try to have your parents read them and if they don't them say "You don't know what they're like, so unless you read them, don't say they'll mess up my mind!"

Tell them it's only fiction.
And if you want to be able to keep reading them, just tone it down when you're around your parents.

my parents are just like that. They have banned me from talking about it until Breaking Dawn coems out. (hehe) I don't know what to do about it. wish I did though.
