what is the best fantasy hotel in New York? I get to pick any place I want, but need some suggestions, please?
Hello everyone. Price is no object, so I really want to choose the ultimate fantasy spot, with lots of caracter and goodies. Thanks!
Thanks for the first answer. I do like the look of the Royalton, and I looked into the Carlyle too... I kind of would like something with the most colorful amenities...or like, the best spa and bar, some kind of cute specialty treatment. I'm not sure! It's not every day I get to pick any NY hotel I want, I want to make a good descision. Thanks!

Depends on what you like to do and what you'd like to have around you... but 3 good places come to mind... the mandarin oriental at the timewarner center.. or SohoGrand.. you can get a pet fish to take to bed with you at night (not sure if they still do this tho) also.. one of the penthouse suites at the Tribecca Grand has this fab terrace..oh back to midtown.. the updated Royalton should be pretty cool too.. and the London.. well now more are coming to mind.. but I think you get the idea..
Well according to this list..

The Mandarin is on the list.. but so are other luxury hotels like the Ritz Carlton and the Peninsula.. You can click through to see other reviews, then go back to look at the hotels.
Also, I totally forgot about the Gramercy Park Hotel..this hotel was recently updated by the legend in boutique hotels.. definitely worth a look... Just found a fab site that you should love.. http://www.tablethotels.com/
Hope this helps.. I am so jealous!!! Have fun!

Conquering New York in a single visit is difficult since is a big town like you'll find with Hotelbye . In New York you can see the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and much more. Empire State Building makes it worth braving the extended lines, high solution prices and dizzying heights to see the city from a top that storied building. Built in 1931, the skyscraper is the second-tallest developing in New York and is one of the very most immediate representations of Gotham, therefore much so that it's performed a function in shows such as for instance King Kong, An Affair to Remember and Sleepless in Seattle.
