Any ideas? Venue where wedding ceremony and reception can take place? Food included? 3k, or less...Much less if possible. Thx so much!

Update:

FYI... We are in Atlanta.

We are considering the Justice of the Peace, plus a reception...

Have it outside at a park. I planned my wedding in 4 months and we had it on the beach at a local park. All we had to pay for was the permit for catering and DJ. you can always have a local restaurant cater your food (like Boston market, olive garden, or Carrabas (cant really spell this minute).

Wow you are cutting this really close! We booked all this stuff a year out! If you want a reception place with food included you are no way going to stay way under 3k. Why did you wait so long?

If you want to stay under 3k, local American Legion will run you about $200 and you will have to cater yourself which again will save you money in the long run... Do you know anyone who has a nice back yard to save you money you can have both there... or call a town office that has a nice park in that town and see if you could have the ceremony there at a reasonable price.

I can't even begin to think of the stress you must have knowing you have to plan an entire wedding start to finish in 3 months.

You're probably not going to find a venue that provides food for 3k. The food alone is one of the most expensive parts of the wedding. I'm planning mine as well and the cheapest i've found for catering alone is a little over 3k. I would suggest to look at your local banquet halls or garden clubs. Those are usually the cheapest reception sites and most have an area for the ceremony as well. I would have family and friends help cook to save you lots of money on catering. Plus if you do a morning or early afternoon wedding you can just do finger foods or breakfast foods like pastries and fruit which will save you time and money as well. OR If you plan on definately getting married in a church, they usually have an area for a small reception. trying to stick with one venue also will save you a lot of money. Make the wedding invitations yourself! You can buy the cardstock at a craft store at michaels ready to print and just print you wording from your home computer. This will save you hundreds of dollars! As far as decorations, check out the websites below. They are the cheapest ones i've found so far for decorations and favors. Good luck!

well, for less money you can put on a nice garden wedding. find somewhere that has a nice lawn and flowers and rent an arbor and chairs etc from a party rental place. Make the time about 3pm so that no one expects dinner or lunch at reception, just serve nibbling food. you could even ask Friends and family to help by bringing appetizers, as well as buying some from a deli or restaurant. serve only champagne for toasts, or go alcohol free. hire a DJ or a local band to play music and put disposable cameras on tables so that guests can help with the memory book. maybe inquire at colleges for an amateur photographer/student, but be sure to ask to see samples. i know a lot of semi pros who take excellent pics. hope these ideas help. 3 months is long enough if you keep it simple.

huh ? You're getting married in 3 months and dont have any plans yet. I'm not sure where you live but in NY there is no place that includes the food in the reception for under 3k, you can probably get the wedding ceremony and reception, with food(if you make it yourself) for about 12k..Good Luck, and Congratulations !!!

Keep it small, keep it simple.

Find an outdoor location you like (such as a park) and get a permit from the town to do it there. (State Parks sometimes as for a donation, but it's only like $100).

Don't invite a whole lot of unnecessary people. You could always rent some kind of overhead canopy (to keep the sun off you), tables and have it catered with finger sandwiches or something. (Jason's Deli is good for this, if there is one near you). If not Jason's almost any deli might do. You can also rent a local hall (even clubs like th VFW, Moose Lodge or DAV might rent their hall out to you).

Be creative and less formal. It will save you a lot of stress and a lot of money. You can have a beautiful wedding without it being expensive.

Source(s): My first wife & I had an outdoor wedding in a park by the river and my sisters still rave that it was the most beautiful, romantic wedding they've ever been to. It cost about $3,000.

A friend of mine just got a park permit, and had catering....all for about the same price..Food cost the most of anything,,,so look at the food first, Many churches will let you have it there..in one of the halls or the main church....so call around.

you need to book your wedding officiant asp then look up in the telephone book halls or hotels that can hold a wedding reception like the Holiday inn.you need to call i few places then decide on which one fits your budget.
