What glue can I use to fix a clay sculputure?
I made this clay sculpture for my senior year art project, it was set up on a stand until that fell into my table next to it. The Dragon sculpture I made is broken in three parts, two of it's legs and part of it's wing. I need to know what glue is best in fixing this. It made my school art show and I hate to see it broken for good.

gorilla glue works wonderfully. but you have be careful as it expands to six times beyond its original size as it dries. a thin bit will do the trick. if it does overgrow your gaps then it will look like foam, and sanding it will result in a porous sponge like appearence.
superglue works for a temporary fix, jb weld is messy, ultimate glue works almost identical to gorilla glue. etc...

superglue if the pieces still fit and if it's impossible to hold the pieces together for a slower glue to work. Especially if you clay is very porous it won't work that well and it won't be terribly strong but it works OK for small pieces, not really good for large ones.
JB-Weld glues really well and will fill small cracks. Use the fast setting one, the other takes over night to dry. Drawback is that JB-Weld is dark and might show up depending on the color of your sculpture.
Other 2 component glues will also work. Go to a hardware store and for most if not all 2 component glues it will say that they are for use with ceramics.

Hi, you didn't mention what type of clay you were using.
I teach arts and crafts to children and we use polymer clay or air dry clay. I found that the best glue for both clays was
Weldbond. It is found, here in Canada, in hardware stores, or Home Depot, or Canadian Tire. It goes on white, but dries clear. It's extremely stong.

Two part epoxy works well. Get the kind that sets quickly, so you don't have to hold it together forever.
