Microsoft error messages are famed for being useless. If it only happens when you leave it alone for long periods of time then it would suggest to me that there may be a complication when entering hibernation mode. To test it you could change your power settings Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Power Options then click change plan settings for your current plan. Set it so that it will hibernate in 1-2 minutes and leave it. If it crashes then you know the problem.
Other than that I'm not sure if I could assist any further other than saying that I used Vista x64 and I used to get blue screens when my PC tried to hibernate and I was using downloading programs (particularly BitComet).

I cannot even get logged in to my computer. I have Windows Vista. It just started this morning. When I type in my password it says "The User profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."

My cousin computer recently began to do that. Either her or her husband had downloaded something to their computer that they shouldn't have. So they had to reset their computer to the factory setting. They lost the majority of everything but their computer is purring like a kitten again.
