    Hey Dominique,

I use a really good weight training and healthy diet program called truth about abs.

I bought the program from the recommendation at http://www.truthaboutabsblog.com/review1.html

Go read the review and then check out the site and see if something like that could work for you.

For me this was the best $59 I have ever spent. (there is a $39 option too) The author gives you detailed workouts for you to follow with pictures of every workout, and a great meal plan. Overall this was a great investment in myself.

If you actually commit yourself to this guide and do what it says, you will lose weight, buying this guide alone won't get you thin, you have to take action and do what it says.

If you can take action then buy it and do it, but if you won't take action forget about it and don't waste your money

Sounds like this could be just what you need

    Anyway I hope this helps.

    Love Samantha

If you're not used to a lot of physical activity, make sure you start slowly. Take your baby on at least 1 walk a day, building up the length of your walks (baby should like this, too!). Try your best to eat healthy (obviously). If you have time, try to do some strength training (you can do this at home). You can buy a cheap exercise video, or just keep an eye out for magazines (like Self) that have featured "quick" workouts. Building muscle mass helps because the more muscle you have, the better your metabolism is. That means your aerobic activity is even more efficient.

Good luck, I know how you feel. My son is 5 months old and I'm struggling with my weight. And then I always see people responding-- if you're breastfeeding and eating right, the pounds will melt off. Not true for everyone, certainly not me!!

Edit: I just wanted to add that snacking is both healthy and important-- it keeps your body from going into starvation mode, where you'll just hold onto the fat. The key is HEALTHY snacks, and keep your meals on the smaller side, too. It's much better to eat 3 small meals and a couple of healthy snacks in between than to just eat 3 normal meals.

How long ago did you have the baby? If you are nursing, you can drop the weight pretty easily. If not... it's really hard to lose baby weight for about a year after giving birth because of our stupid women hormones.

But you can start setting up healthy habits that will get you ready to shed the pounds. My advice it pretty simply.

    Cut out:

    Dairy

White carbs (white bread, white rice, potatoes)

    High fructose corn sryup

    Hydroginated oils

    All soda

Red meat maybe once a month if that

    Add:

    Lots of veggies

    Dark colored fruits (berries)

Fish with scales (not shrimp, etc)

One thing that really does work well is taking 1/2 an hour before you go grocery shopping, and plan out your meals for that week so you know exactly what you need to be. Make a list and stick to it. Do NOT skip meals. This slows your metabolism and is very counter productive. Nutrition and obesity is actually one of my fortes, so if you'd like to email me directly with any specific questions, I'd be glad to help you. I am very proud of you for taking your health seriously. Good job mama!!

Hello. Girl, I am SOOOO in the same boat LOL. I was 215 the day before i gave birth. My son is 3.5 months old right now and I weigh 194. Not a big difference but I definately want to lose more. I feel like a stump being the size I am and im only 5'4''. I had lost a little weight (got down to 184) by doing the weight watchers thing. I did it my way though. I didnt go to the meetings and do all that crap... i just counted my points and bought the tv dinners. They're actually pretty good too. I put on 10 pounds though because i have been craving rice crispie treats like nobody's business and ... i know its horrible but i have been giving into those cravings! Bad idea. I was very determined to lose weight before, and i got off track... im not an exercise kinda gal and its just hard work trying to lose weight. Oh man, I could go on and on. But Jess did have a point... you dont have to eat lettuce and celery to lose weight you just have to do portions and count calories. Its a pain in the butt, but it works, and youre not starving yourself of your favorite foods. Look at the portion size, measure, write down the calories. Set a goal for your daily caloric intake and dont go over that... but make it healthy. And then as you lose weight lower the amount of calories you eat and try to work in a little excersise of some sort to burn them off... that way you dont hit that peak where you stop losing weight because your body gets used to your diet. I hope i helped. If you need someone to talk to, a weight loss buddy or something like that feel free to email me. Its always easier to lose weight when you have someone to compete against! Good luck!!!

Are you breastfeeding? That helps lose the babyfat. If your kiddo is older, and eating solids, DON'T finish their food for them. That's an easy way to get extra calories you didn't intend to eat. Also, try to limit your drinks to no calorie drinks (water is best, by hey, it's hard not to want a little flavor!). The old saying goes - move more, eat less. If you are able to take your baby on walks or even use a jogging stroller, that would be fun for both of you! Good luck!

ur a pretty girl, u shouldnt worry about what ppl will say about u when u go running, i know easier said then done, but seriously GO FOR IT! u will c results, but first important u need a healthy diet, i think thats the most important, and balance that out with exercise. ur young u can lose the baby weight fast, it will be harder for u the older u get, so if i was u, i would Go running everday and try 2 eat healthy, plus ur not a fatty girl , u look normal. u just need to get in shape, ur not obese no one will talk about u, i just had a baby like 5 months ago and it was soooooooo hard losing the weight cuz i was lazy but i realized if i dont start, i will never, now ive lost 35lbs and im back 2 my normal weight, all becuz i changed my diet and stopped eating junk food and drinking soda, and running 4x's a week and other exercises, GOODLUCK hun! and congrats on the baby =)

Lots of exercise, cardio and a good, healthy diet. No need to spend tons of money on weight loss or exercise stuff. You can do so many things at home, with stuff you already have.

Want to life weights? Canned goods are great. A regular 16 ounce can is a pound, so there you go. Take walks with the new baby, and alternate your speed between a slow pace and a quicker one...changing your cardio pace helps to burn more calories.

I feel for you. I'm 24 weeks preg. with #2, and heavy myself, so as soon as this little one's born, I'm right there with you.

    Good luck!

OMG I sympathise!! I lost all my baby weight within 3 months of my twins being born because I was too exhausted to eat!! Finally got back on track and put a shedload back on!! The girls are 4 and I'm still trying to lose it again!!

No snacks - make time for regular healthy eating, sleep properly (or as well as you can) and try not to graze. Good luck honey - you can do it. X

BREASTFEED! I was 221 at discharge from the hospital, and at my 4 week appt I weighed 203. I didn't change a speck of my diet, just make sure to drink plenty of water - that helps. Plus breatsfeeding will save you over $1000 in the first year alone of not buying infant formula. Make sure to eat healthy for your baby if you do breastfeed.
