New PC game - Spore?

Well first of all, I've been anticipating this game FOREVER, ever since about 2 1/2 years ago, i have been WAITING and WAITING for them to release this game. Last year they said they were going to release it but then EA decided they wanted to wait till this year, that pissed me off, then i heard they were going to have this SecuRom type deal, that pissed me off even more. But now that they don't have that 10 day authentication method anymore I'm a bit happier and will be likely to buy it.

The benefit to this whole thing though is, that now games wont have this huge increase in prices each year because they wont be falling back on their sales, people will be forced to OWN the copy if they choose to want to play it so bad.

But overall this game looks awesome, plus i love science so this is going to be a great free time game for me.

So i can't wait for it to FINALLY come out!

Spore is a free life simulator PC trial in which you completely build your playfield, your characters, and any item of your fictional world. You can start making unicellular living beings, and then control their development as societies until you have your own cosmos.

It is going to have SecuRom piracy protection in it which punishes people who actually bought the game and makes them jump through hoops, so I won't be buying it for PC.

It was my most anticipated PC game of the year but now it has been spoilt by this stupid decision.

I will probably pick it up for a console instead now.

Absolutely, I will! In regards to one of the previous answers, the securecom thing has been removed - you no longer need to connect every 10 days to reauthorize your copy of Spore.

I can't wait until September 7th.
