essential indie albums?

while i believe Radiohead's OK Computer is essential listening, it is not indie. it was released on Capitol Records. Radiohead is NOT an indie band.

Pavement's Slanted & Enchanted is hailed as one of the greatest indie albums ever made. and with that, i would agree.

Ah! So many to pick from! Well, it depends what TYPE of indie you like best. I think the best all-round Indie albums were: The Strokes-Is This It Arcade Fire-Funeral Yeah Yeah Yeahs-Fever To Tell Interpol-Antics Kaiser Chiefs-Employment

yay look at all these indie fans. .. . i'm a one-of-a-kind in my town :P. . . . some really good indie not mentioned above is oldstyle Modest Mouse, Neutral Milk Hotel, and on a bad day some Black Heart Procession.

you HAVE to check out this indie band called attack in black! you have to check out both their albums "marriage" and "curve of the earth". although curve of the earth is only available on itunes and vinyl.
