Kitna promises 10 win season for Lions?
Doesn't these kind of promises foreshadow a teams chances?
and do we believe the chances of this? I would like to, but for me
if I were owner I wouldn't like the big talk and if he doesn't make
good, I would fire him. what do you think?

He means he hopes to win 10 games in his Lions career...this year he could do it! It is great to be optimistic but he has had 14 years to prove he is a true #1 QB and has not done it. Hard to command much respect in the lockerroom when you spout off and give guys even more crap to deal with (think the press doesnt jump all over these guys every time he opens his mouth?). As far as the owner is concerned he could care less if Kitna says such stupid things. This is the same guy who pays Millen to continually fail and set records for futility and the franchise itself has been a disgrace for 40 + years. Being a Lions fan I can only hope they decide to take winning seriously before I die but being realistic if the Ford family doesnt sell the franchise I just dont see the dedication it takes from ownership on down to actually build a winner. The same teams and owners always find ways to win and their down cycles tend to be relatively short (not 40 year cycles of down). A Ford & Millen combo isnt the answer...they have proven that for the last 7 years.

I think Kitna could do it.Early in his career we were saddled with ''the man who couldn't lead a receiver'' here in Cleveland in Tim Couch.I was praying in vain they would trade that joke and some how get Kitna because he is a baller.I wouldn't fire Kitna I would give him a raise because he is trying to fire up the Lions, which is what they need.

did he promise it again? i thought he only said they should win 10 games again.. well hell.. if kitna says it... again it'll happen right??... i mean maybe his game plan is just have roy williams and calvin johnson run to the end zone and just toss it up their right? how can you go wrong with that..

kitna is just trying to give the impression that he's got the job... if i was the lions i would open it up the QB job, kitna had his chance

he is too confident if he didnt win 10 last year that would be bad but know if he doesnt win 10 he should br released or traded or suspended

I would have thought he learned his lesson after his prediction last year did not come to pass. Now his words no longer have any weight. No one listens anymore, or should listen that is.

If you count the pre-season....then maybe. But really, I thought they were going to have a good year last season.

What's funny is that ten wins isnt all that great, it may not even get them a playoff berth.
