What do you think about kickboxing?

Muay Thai Kickboxing is the best Art I have been in, I've been in Martial Arts for over 9 years and Muay Thai is where my Heart is at :) Have you seen Buakaw or Yodsaenklai Fight. Both have over 200 Fights each and are under 25 years old. Muay Thai / Thai Boxers are the most Fit FIghters in the World. Some Thai fighters Fight every month or every 2-5 weeks. You MUST be very VERY conditioned, have a strong will, trained mind to be able to step up and be a Thai Boxer.

Now just Amierican Kickboxing, you have to be strong and all that but its NOT as tough as Muay Thai, but still very good.

Who ever said Muay Thai is for girls, I would LOOOVE too see you get into a Muay Thai school for ONE Day and try it out for 1 hour. Never mind that most of us go for at least 3 hours a day, but ohh yea I forgot we are weak, and are girls, 3 hours in the gym everyday, then running, swimming, yea we are all girls HAHAHAHHAH Give your head a shake !

I personally HATE the American Kick Boxing rules and practice Muay Thai. As for kick boxing only being for girls and gays that's ridiculous, those people are most likely talking about the aerobic kick boxing. In my gym I'm the only female kick boxer (that actually competes) that I know of.

Muay Thai ROCKS! Personally I would rather not do that with myself,..smile, I like many things and Freestyle Kickboxing ROCKS!

i love how when the mention of kick boxing comes up

everyone says Muay Thai

no one here tho seems to mention Savate (French Kick boxing)

which uses faster kicks, twice as many kicks, and in fact as i recall

there was a French Kick Boxer in the UFC named Cheech Kongo who beat Cro Cop by decision (Kick *** fight i might add)

anyway

Muay Thai is great for power, it will teach you some knees and elbows but most teach them now because of Muay Thai relationship to MMA

however Savate is about speed and fluentness going from kicking someone in the ribs twice and then pounding them in there head without putting your foot down

think im lying my sensie showed me one move called a Kukiba-Chasse

2 kicks both of the leg, i tried it in sparring and dropped some kick by kicking both his shield leg and then his support leg before he even dropped his leg

well im no "expert" but i kno kick boxing and there are all dudes in my class. they seriously teach u hoe to F*** people up...also you dont actually kick that much
