y do girls want to have a baby at a young age???

Boy, people are harsh. I remeber going through a stage when I was 16 that I could not wait to have my own babies. I had enough sense to know that it was a bad idea, and it was a phase that passed. I don't know what causes it, but it seems fairly common by the number of questions asked. In previous centuries, it probably would have been an age when girls started having babies anyway, so maybe it is some kind of inborn urge. As it is, I had my first at 27 after five years of marriage. Of course it was a better time for me, but it doesn't make the desire less real when you are younger.

Well, it depends what you mean by that exactly. Are you talking about teenage girls that are not capable of caring for another human being in all aspects of the word? If so, then there are multiple reasons. Attention, hoping to stay in a relationship, having the want/need for unconditional love, it was an 'accident' .... the list goes on. Some of those young girls turn out to be great mothers though. I know a 25 year old woman that is an exceptional mother to her 10 year old daughter.

Some women simply choose to have children at a young age. Like me. I was 21 when I had my first child. I had been married for over 2 years, finished school, owned a home and was working in my career field. My husband and I always knew we wanted to have children at a young age. Its what works for us.

Because they are looking for attention.

When they have a cute little baby to dress up in Tommy Hilfiger clothes, and everyone says how beautiful their baby is, it makes them feel special. There are so many programs and monies available to single moms these days, it's almost easier to get everything for free, rather than pay taxes.

It's a fad. As a matter of fact, I think alot of ADULT women think the same thing. Having a baby is the thing to do. With all the trendy clothes, equipment, expensive photo packages to show off your baby, everyone wants to get in on it.

EXCUSE ME....just becuz they want to doesnt make them whores..I had my 1st daughter at 17yrs old..And I was and still am a great mother..I had my 2nd child at 19...the next at 21 and just had another 5 months ago..

I am happy married with 4 kids at 23 yrs old...Wut of it...I am a awesome mother...I have 4 kids...I am a homeschool Parent..and a stay at home mother and I work for a Travel Agent online...Kiss my butt...We are not whores...Its natural some girls want kids..some dont..I always wanted to have more kids than my grandma..and she has 11...I dont think I will reach that..My my plan is to have 2 more kids...I always wanted a big family becuz I never had a family when I was young..

this is stupid..all the dumb comments...Like I said I had my baby at 16...I raised her...and changed the diapers..I breast fed her..I did everything..including finished school and worked..and paid bills...And I went to school with other girls who were the same way...So piss on all the rude comments!

Because they feel they need something to fill a gap in their lives, they want something to love unconditionally and whant someone to love them back un conditianally, therefore the natural answer to this is for them to have a baby.

Most pregnant girls are pregnant through accident however, not through choice, they dont get pregnant for a house or benefits because most of the time it doesnt work like that, council will happily put them in a hostel and give the houses to the aylum seekers instead of to the girls. They deal with the accidental pregnancy the best they can in a grown up, mature manner and i hold a lot of respect for these girls as they dont choose to abort the life for their own sake, they simply get on with it and choose whats best for their baby. :)

Because they only see the "cute" side to babies and do not realize how hard it is to raise a child. For example having to breastfeed a baby every hour and half. Trying to stay calm while your baby cries for no reason.

Because when they are physically able to have kids---they are still playing "house" like little girls. Little do they know the amount of money, time and energy it takes to raise a kid and unfortunately they have to find that out the hard way!

because they might be lonly . want something to take care of or is stuck in seeing this cycle in family ....

Girls (not yet full grown responsible women) don't understand that causes of thier actions will prevent them from a smooth transition into adulthood / matureness phase of life .....

dont get me wrong , most people can have babies but to actually be really mentally prepared and afford it ...takes a bit of growing up to do.

For the ones that PLAN to do so..I think sometimes they are seeking attention and feel a baby would be a constant being to show them love and a feeling of great purpose...

Statistically they say because they don't feel love at home. Personally I think it is because either they don't think about it until it happens or they don't realize it is work not fun.
